House Bill 516: What It Means for IEA Members and Local Unions

The law created by House Bill 516 brings significant changes to how IEA members will conduct union business, particularly around district resources, union activity during contract hours and representation procedures. While the law will require adjustments by IEA locals and members, core union rights like collective bargaining, union membership and educator advocacy for students and public schools remain intact.
