Kathy Yamamoto — veteran region director, human rights activist and mentor to hundreds of educators — was celebrated recently during a bash in her honor at Boise’s Basque Center.

This week at the IEA:
⛰️ IEA`s leadership team returned from a trip to Butte, Montana, where they joined their peers from states along TNT (the northern tier) to collaborate on state and national issues. Highlights included meeting and interviewing candidates running for NEA positions and a labor history tour of the city.
🤝 IEA`s annual Local Union President Training kicked off today. 80+ local leaders traveled from all around the state to attend training sessions on union communications, finance, and more at Boise HQ.
