Air St. Luke’s Medical Transport

A membership in Air St. Luke’s state-wide air (helicopter or plane) ambulance service is available to IEA members at a discounted rate.

From car accidents to heart attack, Air St. Luke’s is your best protection in an emergency, especially when you’re far from a major hospital. Air St. Luke’s is an Idaho state-wide air (helicopter or plane) ambulance service in partnership in the Association of Air Medical Membership Programs (AAMMP.) When you become an Air St. Luke’s member, your annual membership fee waives any portion of the bill not covered by your insurance.

A membership in the service is available to IEA members at a rate of only $55/year (a 25% discount.)

Details

  • Covers transport to the closest, medically appropriate facility as determined by medical personnel.
  • Provides coverage for the following members within a household: the primary member, a spouse or domestic partner and any unmarried dependent(s) claimed on the primary member’s income tax return.  Dependent children must be younger than 19, or younger than 24 and a full-time student. 
  • This benefit is not an insurance or investment program, has no guaranteed benefit, and is secondary to all other insurance benefits and health care cost sharing programs.

Air St. Luke’s and Partner Coverage Area

Air St. Luke’s covers Southern and Central Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Northern Nevada from their bases in Boise and Twin Falls. And the coverage area for Air St. Luke’s members goes beyond their local region through their partners in the Association of Air Medical Memberships Programs (AAMMP). This reciprocal program expands their reach through a partnership of nonprofit air medical providers in Northern and Eastern Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Western Montana, and Northern California south to the Santa Barbara area.

Air St. Luke’s Coverage Area

Air St. Luke’s flies a radius of approximately 150 miles from their bases in Boise and Twin Falls. Due to the rural nature of much of Idaho, they have the capability of preparing landing zones in remote locations throughout their service area.

Idaho Helicopters, Inc. is the FAR Part 135 Certificate Holder providing aviation services and owns and operates the helicopters used by Air St. Luke’s. Turbo Air, Inc. is the FAR Part 135 Certificate Holder providing aviation services and owns and operates the airplanes used by Air St. Luke’s.
