SPARKS is a two-day retreat for teachers in their first five years of teaching who want to learn more about their profession and their union, and build relationships with their peers. 

aIt’s an interactive, hands-on adventure. It is a way for you to connect with each other and with the IEA. It is an experience designed to “spark” your interest and develop skills you can use in your classroom and in your local association. SPARKS gives you the chance to discuss and learn more about issues that concern you with others like you. AND you get to relax in Lava Hot Springs world- renowned hot pools!

The SPARKS agenda is based on your responses to a questionnaire. You will be part of a small group of people who are also newer members of IEA. We will be responsive to your wants, needs and desires – it’s all about you!

One credit through Idaho State University is available for $55.
