Educational Signing is an empirically-based, data-driven program that shows teachers how to insert select ASL (American Sign Language) signs into existing curricula and programs to improve student learning in a variety of ways. It can be used to improve phonemic awareness, memory of spelling sequences, number sense, comprehension, and behavior. Also, student interest, engagement, and self-esteem have been positively influenced by the implementation of these strategies. It adds a visual and kinesthetic aspect to phonics programs, sparks children's interest, performance, comprehension, and retention, and enhances Special Needs and inclusion programs.k
