Protect Your Membership. Protect Your Union. Don’t Wait — Secure Your Membership by July 1

House Bill 516 is now law, and attacks on your union membership using payroll deduction are no longer theoretical. Switching to IEA AutoPay is a simple, secure way to protect your membership and help keep IEA strong, independent and ready to fight for Idaho’s public school educators.

Action Required by July 1

If you are among the few IEA members still paying your union dues through payroll deduction, the passage of House Bill 516, that is about to change.

Starting July 1, school districts will be required by law to stop deducting union dues from employee paychecks. If you do not take action, your dues payments will stop — and your IEA membership will end.

No dues = no membership.

Here's What You Need to Switch:

👉 Your IEA membership number
👉 The ZIP code IEA has on file for you
👉 Your bank account and routing numbers for monthly dues payments OR a credit card if you want to pay annually

Protect Your Membership Now

To stay a member, you must switch to IEA AutoPay before July 1. IEA AutoPay is the secure, direct way to pay your dues — and it’s how members are protecting their union and their voice in response to this new law.

 

SIMPLE AND SECURE

IEA AutoPay is the secure, direct way for members to pay their union dues outside of payroll deduction. 

Because of House Bill 516, school districts will be required to stop deducting union dues starting July 1, which means members who have not switched will lose their membership. If dues stop, membership ends — and with it, access to the protections, benefits and collective voice of IEA. 

AutoPay ensures your membership continues uninterrupted by allowing you to pay monthly from a bank account or annually by credit card. It is simple to set up, secure and designed to protect your membership in the face of legislative changes. Members who have not yet switched must enroll in AutoPay before July 1 to remain active in IEA.
