The event has become a cherished tradition.

On Saturday, August 3, the Vallivue Middle School in Caldwell buzzed with excitement as families gathered for the Vallivue Education Association’s annual Back-To-School Fair. Organized by the VEA and led by members Amber Ford, Stephanie Hopkins and Crystal Villanueva, this event has become a cherished tradition, offering vital resources to help students and their families prepare for the upcoming school year.

This year’s fair was a resounding success, with 500 local children taking home back-to-school bags packed with essentials. Additionally, medical providers supplied more than 300 students with services such as vision screenings, immunizations and physicals, ensuring students hit the ground running when classes begin.

In a heartwarming display of community support, 300 food boxes filled with fresh produce were delivered to families, helping to ensure that no child goes hungry as they head back to school. The event also featured a school uniform swap, with 1,500 clothing items donated, allowing families to exchange or pick up uniforms at no cost.
