Why it matters: Benfiet will work on IEA’s accounts payable and assist in membership processing — key roles that affect the union’s ability to do business.

  • Benfiet has years of business office experience, most recently with Living Independent Network, where she prepared financial statements, monitored internal policies and procedures and oversaw contracts. Before that, she worked at LEAP Housing, an Idaho-based nonprofit focused on housing and housing stability.
  • “My career has mostly been working with nonprofits in some financial capacity,” she said. “I enjoy helping organizations grow and be successful.”

A little more about Lori: Benfiet has lived in Idaho for more than 20 years with her spouse, and she has two sons and two dogs.
