The event is one of the largest health runs in Idaho.
Published: July 18, 2024

Get ready to pound the pavement for the Idaho Education Association. The IEA is fielding a 5k team for the St. Luke’s Fit One race, 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21 in Downtown Boise.

“This is a fun opportunity for IEA members to show their union pride and build solidarity with their colleagues,” said Mike Journee, IEA’s communications director. “Join the team and be part of a great community event.”

This low-stakes, friendly race is great for runners and walkers of all levels – no experience needed. (All finishers receive a medal!) Created to help children and families in Idaho build a foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits, the St. Luke’s FitOne race is one of Idaho’s biggest and best-loved, with thousands of participants crossing the finish line every year.

IEA will pay entrance fees IEA members who join the team and will provide team t-shirts. Any non-member family and friends must pay their own entrance fees to participate. However, kids ages 12 and younger can participate for free with a registered adult but must also be registered.
