Even More May Matters Events

As the May 19 primary election draws closer, members are organizing (and having a good time doing it).

The big news: Last week, IEA Reporter shared that members around the state are hosting May Matters events to drive registrations, raise awareness and get out the vote for the May 19 primary. But those events were just the beginning — more took place in the past week.

• In Lewiston, members organized a voter education event to help members and the community learn more about the importance of electing a pro-public education majority to the Idaho Legislature — and the event was a smashing success. It featured appearances from Rep. Lori McCann (R-Lewiston) and Superintendent of Lewiston Schools Tim Sperber.

• In Wallace, members and union leaders from throughout the Silver Valley gathered with IEA Executive Director Paul Stark to talk about May Matters.
