Idaho Education Association Member Benefits Director Dick Chilcote has been to 44 NEA Representative Assemblies, missing only five over the past half century. He has attended as an active member, as the president of the IEA, and now represents IEA’s retired members. He is the elder statesman of Idaho’s caucus and still swaps buttons and pins with delegates from other states, adding to his already extensive collection of RA ephemera. IEA Reporter took a few minutes to chat about years past, the proper footwear for RA (or any day), and why members on the fence about attending RA should just go for it.
