What's happening: Retired IEA members now have two chances to step into leadership — and help shape the future of public education in Idaho.

The details: Nominations are open for the following retired member seats on the Idaho Education Association Board of Directors for the 2026 election:

• Retired member seat on the IEA Board of Directors (full three-year term)

• Retired member seat on the IEA Board of Directors (one-year term)

Zoom in: The one-year seat is open because current board member Mary Lee Ruch is ending her service early.

 • The elected member will complete the remainder of Ruch's term starting Aug. 1.

 • Retired members elected to the board also serve as co-chairs of the IEA Retired Council.

 What you need to do:

 • Submit your nomination by Feb. 17.

 • Indicate whether you are running for the full term or the one-year term.

 • Use the links below to review deadlines, submit forms, and learn more.

Heads up: IEA’s website has been updated and now includes members-only content. You’ll need your NEA membership number to create a new profile and access election materials.
