The offices: IEA members will elect their colleagues to the following seats on the IEA Board of Directors:
- President
- Vice president
- Chair of the Resolutions Committee
- ESP at large
- Retired educator (1 seat available)
- Aspiring educator
- One board seat each for regions 1-8, which cover all of Idaho except for the West Ada Education Association (Region 9 does not have an election this year). All IEA regions have two representatives on the IEA board, except Region 7 (the Boise Education Association), which has three.
Another IEA election: In addition to statewide officers and seats on the Board of Directors, IEA members will also vote to select their representatives to the NEA Representative Assembly, which will be held July-3-7 in Denver in 2026.

Nov. 24: Nominations open for state delegates to NEA Representative Assembly and for the IEA Board of Directors and statewide positions.
Month of December: Official nomination and election notice mailed to all members. Local union presidents, remember to verify email addresses and cell phone numbers.
- Jan. 16: Deadline for nominations for NEA RA delegates.
- Feb. 11: NEA RA delegate election opens.
- Feb. 17: Nominations close for IEA Board of Directors and statewide positions.
- Feb. 19: NEA RA delegate election closes.
- March 2: Deadline to submit nominations for delegates to IEA Delegate Assembly.
- May 6: Election opens for IEA Board of Directors and statewide positions.
- May 14: Election closes for IEA Board of Directors and statewide positions at 5 p.m. MDT.
