Have You Requested Your Ballot Yet?

Voters have until Oct. 24 to request their absentee ballots for the Nov. 4 election.

Why it matters: Good citizenship starts with your vote — especially on education issues. This week, every Idaho Education Association member will receive a postcard with step-by-step instructions for requesting an absentee ballot.

  • November ballots will include critical school board, bond and levy elections.
  • In recent years, measures have failed by fewer than 100 votes.
  • Only 37% of IEA members voted in May 2024 — and more voters could have made a huge difference in key elections.
  •  Every ballot cast makes a difference in public schools.

Key dates to remember:

  • Request your ballot by 5 p.m. Mountain Time on Oct. 24
  • Turn your ballot into your county clerk (by mail or in person) by 8 p.m. Mountain Time on Nov. 4

Ready to get started? You don’t have to wait for a postcard — request your ballot now!

Learn more about May Matters: The November election will be the first election since IEA launched its May Matters initiative, a campaign to return the Idaho Legislature to a pro-public education majority. Read more here.
