Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When will dues be deducted? Every year, beginning in September, your Association membership dues (local, state and national) will be deducted from your checking or savings account on the 28th of each month (or the first business day thereafter) and will continue to be taken in equal payments through August. Credit cards will be processed on the 28th, or the first business day thereafter, of the month they are submitted, if they are received by the 15th of that month. If the credit card information is received after the 15th of the current month, it will be processed the following month.

Q. How much will be deducted? The dues amount does not change under the eDues system when using EFT. The full amount of your annual dues is divided into equal monthly deductions, beginning in September (or the month you enroll) and will continue to be taken in equal payments though August, as indicated above. After enrolling, you will receive a letter every September with the exact amount of your monthly deduction.

Q. Is my information secure? Yes. Security of your personal information is extremely critical. Data entered online uses the same security encryption and procedures as secure shopping websites. Strict security protocols have been established for the transportation and storage of paper forms to protect your sensitive information.

Q. What if my account information changes? If your bank account or credit card changes, please notify IEA as soon as possible.

Q. What if I don’t have enough money in my account? A. If you elect to have dues deducted from a bank account, the charge will occur on the 28th of each month, or the first business day thereafter. Overdraft charges from your bank may apply if there are not sufficient funds to cover the payment. You will have the option of either sending a check or money order to IEA to make up the failed withdrawal, or your remaining dues will be divided up between the months left in the fiscal year, increasing your monthly withdrawal.

Q. What are my options? eDues gives you the option to pay dues in two ways:
• Deducted monthly from a bank account (checking or savings)
• A one-time credit card payment
