Investing in Educators Creates a Brighter Future for Idaho Schools

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) empowers Idaho public school educators with career-long, high-quality professional development and mentoring support. Every one of our non-profit’s offerings is designed to secure the long-term success of Idaho public schools by preparing educators to meet the ever-evolving needs of students, classrooms and families.

Experienced Educators,
Practical Solutions

For nearly a decade, the CTL has been at the forefront of adapting to changes in public education. At the heart of our success is our pool of talented educator-instructors who design and deliver courses based on real-world experience earned in Idaho communities and schools. By leveraging their expertise on critical topics, we ensure every classroom in the state offers the best possible learning conditions for students.

Mentoring the Next Generation of Educators

Just like having a dedicated, veteran educator in the classroom improves student outcomes, having a mentor for support and guidance also improves the success of early career educators. Through CTL’s mentorship program, veteran educators provide coaching and resources to new educators, helping them navigate the challenges of the profession, become fully certified and find success in the classroom.

Training Tailored to Educators’ Needs

CTL offers a variety of training options, ranging from bite-sized 90-minute  classes and half-day sessions to one-and-done full-day classes. Class topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging Students: Strategies to keep learners motivated and invested in their education
