Early Career Mentoring:
Setting the Stage for Success
The support of a veteran educator can guide an early career educator toward career-long success. The Center for Teaching and Learning’s mentoring program pairs new-to-the-profession educators with experienced mentors eager to pass their wisdom on to the next generation.
Participants in the CTL mentoring program will:
- Receive personalized coaching, communication, and feedback from experienced educator-mentors
- Access resources that enhance their professional practice and refine their teaching skills
- Develop reflection and problem-solving skills
- Enjoy free access to ongoing professional learning opportunities
- Increase their chances of achieving full certification and endorsement, especially for those with provisional authorization, through:
- In-person and online Praxis class options
- Study guides and practice tests
- Reimbursement of Praxis exam fees upon successful completion
The CTL’s mentoring program is funded by a generous grant from the National Education Association. Mentor educators are trained and compensated for their work.
