TAKE A SURVEY: ‘Main Street’ Republicans Want Your Policy Perspectives

February 9, 2024

A group of pro-business, pro-public education Republican lawmakers are surveying Idahoans’ perspectives on several issues in front of them at the Idaho Legislature, including education.

Main Street Idaho, which calls itself “a group of dedicated Idaho legislators…committed to fostering economic growth, championing free markets, and expanding Idaho’s economy,” recently released the quick, 10-question survey.

“Your input is crucial for shaping the future of our state!” said an email from the group inviting Idahoans to take the survey. “Your perspective will contribute to a better understanding of the priorities and concerns of our state.”

The survey includes three questions about education policy that focus on overall education funding, facilities funding and vouchers. Other questions are related to transportation, health care and the environment. It only takes a few minutes to complete.

“Idaho Education Association members are well-represented at the Statehouse, but any opportunity for them to influence lawmakers should be taken,” said Matt Compton, IEA’s associate executive director. “Please take a few minutes to complete this survey to let these thoughtful lawmakers know about your perspectives.”
