Applications for the National Education Association Foundation’s annual Summer 2024 Grants to Educators opened on Friday. The grants are part of the NEA Foundation’s effort to include the “educator voice in leadership practice and policy.”
Applications for the grants will be accepted until May 1. Grantees will be notified in July. Available Grants to Educators include:
- Envision Equity Grants — These grants enable educators “to test creative new ideas and innovations, demonstrating exemplary teaching and learning, while advancing students’ cultural understanding and appreciation, anti-racism commitments, and understanding of civic engagement and democracy.”
- Student Success Grants — These grants are intended to “support educators engaging students in project-based and deeper learning to support the development of skills and dispositions contributing to success and fulfillment in a changing world.”
- Learning and Leadership Grants — Available to both individuals and groups, these grants are intended to provide resources for educators hoping to engage in professional learning that can be implemented in their classrooms.
The NEA Foundation is hosting virtual informational sessions for educators interested in applying for thesegrants. The sessions will serve as a space for educators to receive application guidance, connect with fellow educators, and hear from past grantees about their projects. Those interested in attending the first virtual information session on March 5 can register here.
