IEA Reporter Returns as Online News Page

November 12, 2023

Welcome to IEA Reporter – a new webpage to find news, information and stories about and for Idaho Education Association members and those who care about protecting Idaho public education.

IEA Reporter is a single online location where public education advocates can easily find IEA’s quality multi-media content, including features stories about IEA members, important Idaho education news, IEA events, engagement opportunities, videos, podcasts and much more.

“Reporter was designed with IEA members and potential members in mind, but anyone who values public education and the perspective of educators — our most important education experts — will appreciate its content,” said Mike Journee, IEA’s communications director. “This new webpage showcases IEA members and the work of their union as they collectively advocate for their colleagues and the students of Idaho. IEA members’ expertise and passion for public education are an inspiration that every Idahoan should know about and appreciate.”

Contributions from IEA members, such as commentaries on the state of their profession, public education, pedagogy and more, as well as photos and other items featuring the work of members are a key part of Reporter’s content offerings. An online content submission form (LINK) makes it easy to submit potential content of interest to readers.

Each IEA member will receive regular emails highlighting the latest Reporter offerings. Non-members can sign up (LINK) to receive email updates as well.

“Reporter takes its name from a long-standing print magazine and newsletter well-known to many IEA members,” Journee said. “Reporter will quickly become a trusted, valued and sought out source of news and information about public education and educators, just as its namesake once was.”
