Legislative Guide Amendment Form

IEA's Legislative Guide informs the union's work in advocating for education policy positions at the state and local levels. At IEA’s annual Delegate Assembly in April, delegates propose, debate and approve or reject proposed amendments to IEA’s Legislative Guide. Any IEA member can propose a Legislative Guide amendment, however all proposals must have the support of a delegate present at Delegate Assembly. No proposed amendment can or will be considered without a delegate sponsor. All proposals submitted through this form will be forwarded to IEA leaders and staff with responsibility in legislative matters. However, it is the responbility of the amendment's author to secure sponsorship by a Delegate Assembly delegate.
