Rep. Sonia Galaviz, a member of the Boise Education Association, gave the keynote address.
Idaho Education Association members from around the state gathered at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston for Summer Institute 2024.
Classes at Summer Institute are designed and taught by members.
Class topics ranged from classroom behavior management to self-care.
IEA Summer Institute classes are free for members.
Attendees could earn up to four credits from Idaho State University.
During the “Bringing History to Life” class, members learned how to create engaging historical teaching methods.
Members used classes to create safe spaces to discuss the issues that affect them and their students.
Registration for the next Summer Institute will open in spring 2025.
