IEA – R2 – Managing Difficult Student Behaviors – Beyond the Basics – Lewiston
You’ve got the basics of classroom, time and transition management, but still struggle with some disruptive and repetitive student behaviors every year.
Learn how to look deeper at the “Language” underneath the behavior and what it’s communicating so that you can apply the appropriate response instead of just reacting to manage it in the moment.
You’ll learn your place in the chain, how to diagnose the function of the behavior, consider sensory input and other needs, and learn how to collaborate and problem solve to the benefit of all.
Sherry Belknap is a trained classroom teacher from Meridian and she will provide you information and tools that will empower you to problem solve and make the environments less stressful for yourself AND your students!
