The IEA Children’s Fund has been helping students and families in need for nearly 20 years and has distributed more than $1.5 million for basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter, and medical treatment.
Our mission is to advocate for Idaho’s education professionals and to unite our members and the state to realize the promise of a public education that prepares every student to succeed.
Our vision is excellent public education for all Idaho students.
These principles guide our work and define our mission:
- Equal Opportunity. We believe every child deserves access to a free, quality, public education which creates lifelong learners.
- Collective Action. We believe people are strengthened when they work together for the common good. Through collective action, the teaching profession and public education are strengthened when we unite and work collectively.
- Advocacy. We believe America’s public education system is the cornerstone of our democracy. As Idaho educators, it is our professional responsibility to advocate for a free, quality, public education for every student and for quality working and learning environments for all.
- Professionalism. We believe educators are highly trained professionals who must protect and defend the education profession. The highest standards and the highest expectations for educators and students are critical to students’ success. Educators deserve to be compensated and treated professionally.
