What is PACE?

The Political Action Committee for Education was founded by educators, for educators. We support candidates of either party who stand up for fully funded public schools, local control, and pragmatic policy based on input from real Idahoans.

What is May Matters?

IEA’s members may span the political spectrum, but they’re united: It’s time to give radical, special-interest candidates the boot. May Matters is the union’s campaign to restore a pro-public school majority to the Idaho Legislature. By voting in the election that matters — the May 2026 Republican Primary — voters can deliver a win for Idaho’s public schools.

Terms and Conditions

IEA’s Political Action Committee for Education (PACE) collects voluntary contributions from IEA members and the public and uses those contributions for political purposes, including supporting pro-public education candidates for state or local office.

Contributions to PACE are voluntary. Making a contribution to PACE is not a condition of membership in the union and members have the right to refuse to contribute without reprisal. Although PACE may request a specific annual contribution, this is only a suggestion. A member may contribute more or less than the suggested amount or may contribute nothing at all without it affecting their membership status, rights, or benefits as a member of IEA or its affiliates.
