Using Children’s Picture Books in Secondary Classes

Students, even high school students, love having stories read to them. Children’s books are surprisingly rich in vocabulary, historical events, cultural characteristics and even scientific and mathematical formulas and information.

Learn how to incorporate these into secondary classrooms and curriculum.

This class is part of the Center for Teaching and Learning’s Bite-size Learning Series. Once you’ve attended and fully participated in 7.5 hours of class time in the Learning Series and completed the coursework, you can earn a free credit from Idaho State University.
