Building Representative trainings are continuing in various locales around the state. Building Reps are a key cog in organizing and communicating with members about everything from district policy to professional development to bargaining to political advocacy.
- After a training in Caldwell, two Building Reps posted new material on their school’s bulleting boards, which led to two inquiries about membership. In the Western Organizing Center (Southwest Idaho) contact Region Director Tracylea Balmer at firstname.lastname@example.org for information about scheduling Building Rep trainings.
- In North Idaho, Region President Kelli Aiken and Region Director Denise Cobden led a Building Rep training at River City Middle School in Post Falls. They covered a lot of information related to the duties associated with the position and the logistics of working with local, regional, and state entities. The North Idaho Education Association Retired Council (NIEARC) provide snacks and information about their active group of retired members. For information about Building Rep trainings in Region 1, please contact Denise at email@example.com.
