You may have seen the digital ads or visited the website, www.greatidahopublicschools.org. If so, you are seeing the results of extensive work by the IEA and our partners to create a digital media campaign to spotlight the amazing job done by educators and create the building blocks of a coalition to support public education in Idaho.
Building on the success of television spots in 2020 (view those on the website), phase two of the campaign featured videos and ads on a variety of websites and targeted digital platforms. The centerpiece of the campaign is the new website, which features key statistics, important information on how to bring about positive change in our public schools, a “thank an educator” form, and a news blog. The critical mission involved is to build support for public education in Idaho among educators, parents, and community members. We know the vast majority of Idahoans respect professional educators and their public schools. They are looking for a way to push back against the extremists who look to undermine or destroy public education at every turn.
IEA members do incredible work with Idaho students. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted their dedication, but also exposed the shortcomings in resources, personnel, and commitment creating an uphill battle. The time is now to recognize the contributions of educators and provide them with the respect they deserve and the resource they need to help their students.
Let your friends and neighbors know about the website. Fill out the “thank an educator” form. Take the survey. See the latest news and statistics. Most importantly, join the coalition and support Idaho educators and public schools.
