Master Teacher Premiums are a component of Idaho’s Career Ladder plan that gives teachers the opportunity to earn an additional $4,000 per year. Since this is newly approved piece of the teacher compensation puzzle, there are naturally a number of questions about the specifics of the plan. The IEA REPORTER sought out the chair of the committee that developed the Master Teacher Premium recommendations, Boise principal Mark Jones.
