One of the primary benefits of IEA membership is access to trainings and resources that can help educators become better at their jobs and advance their careers. I am thrilled to announce we have made access to these resources even easier with the launch of our online portal, which can be found at https://myiea.idiglearning.net/.
We have created this portal in partnership with the Idaho Digital Learning Academy (IDLA) as a clearinghouse for members to find in-person trainings in their area, as well as signing up for online trainings. Among the professional development opportunities currently available to members are the extremely popular Master Educator Premium trainings, along with sessions on Dealing with Difficult Student Behaviors, and Education Law. We expect to have a Master Educator Premium training with Dr. Jolene Dockstader available as our first online offering around January 1, 2018.
The IEA places a high priority on providing quality professional development opportunities, and we are very fortunate to have knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate members who are willing to share their expertise with other members. The online portal is the next step in making sure that our members all around the state have access to the resources they need—and deserve. The portal is a work in progress, and we will be adding more trainings, both in-person and online, in the coming months. Please take a moment to browse the portal, register for events that are of interest to you, and give us your feedback on the portal itself, as well as our professional development offerings. We are committed to supporting each and every one of you; our professional educator colleagues.
