Today is Education Support Professionals Day. ESPs include a wide range of people working in our schools, from classroom aides and media specialists to janitorial staff and bus drivers. They make a difference every day in the lives of Idaho's children!
Many IEA locals planned special observances today of ESP Day. In Meridian, where ESPs have launched a Living Wage Campaign, they are wearing buttons with this message: “ESPs are proud to say …. we are worth professional pay.” The Boise Education Association had treats for ESP members and planned to run radio spots on several radio stations Nov. 17-18. On Facebook, the NEA Priority Schools Campaign is giving gift cards to one ESP every day this week.
The Idaho Education Association and its locals thank our ESP members for their hard work – today and every day!
