You don’t have to wait until Election Day to make a difference.
What’s happening: Early voting opened this week in many Idaho counties, which means you can skip the Election Day wait and vote at your convenience by doing one of the following:
• Request an absentee ballot by Oct. 24
• Cast your ballot at a designated early voting location in your county (check your county clerk’s office for more information)
Act fast!: Oct. 24 is the final day to request an absentee ballot.
Why it’s important: “The Idaho Education Association has strength in numbers,” says IEA Political Director Chris Parri. “But to really flex our muscles, members need to vote in every election — even off-year elections. Your vote could make the difference in a school bond or levy or help elect someone to local office who will advocate for our public schools.”
Where to learn more: Idaho has a great elections website, voteidaho.gov, where you can get everything you need to vote besides a pen.
