COVID-19: Latest Developments and Resources
Since last Friday’s Hotline, we have seen the State Board of Education announce a “soft closure” of all public schools until at least April 20 and the Governor issue a 21-day “stay-at-home” order for the entire state.
The Idaho Education Association has been at the forefront of providing information and advocacy regarding public education during the public health crisis. Many of these resources can be found through the links below, but we are continually updating our existing resources and will be providing new resources as the COVID-19 crisis evolves.
Click here for our guidance for school districts regarding the health and safety of staff during the stay-at-home period.
We have also developed a well-organized clearinghouse of resources for educators as well as resources for parents and students.
The Families First Act, which includes the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act and the Emergency FMLA Act, will take effect on April 2, 2020. Click here for our FAQ on this legislation.
