On May 1, the PACE’s endorsements of pro-public education candidates to the Idaho Legislature and statewide offices, like governor and the superintendent of public instruction, will be announced to help inform IEA members’ decisions at the ballot box.

After one of the most successful legislative sessions for education in recent memory, the coming elections represent an opportunity for IEA members to build on the momentum, said IEA Political Director Chris Parri.

“The influence and expertise of IEA members should be front-and-center any time elected officials consider policies that impact education,” Parri said. “By electing policymakers who value public education and its importance to our state and society, IEA members can ensure Idaho students and families get the public schools they deserve.”

PACE is the heart of the IEA members’ work to elect pro-education candidates with influence over education policy.  More than 150 PACE members lobbied lawmakers directly during the 2022 legislative session, helping to secure historic legislative wins. Their contributions and hard work help hold policy makers accountable.
