The committee is now asking questions of Jason Hancock from the Department of Education, who is answering questions about the Luna bills page by page. After about 40 minutes of committee questions – with just a half-hour remaining in today's scheduled meeting – Sen. John Goedde noted just now that at the rate the committee is going, it would take 16 hours to review the bills.
He said that he knows many members of the public – as well as the major stakeholder groups – want to testify this week, so at some point, committee members may need to interrrupt their questions for this testimony.
(As a reminder, the committee expects to take testimony from the public starting at 3 p.m. tomorrow through Thursday. Sign-up sheets will be posted outside the auditorium at 2 p.m. each day.)
