Gov. Butch Otter announced today that he will sign Senate Bill 1184 at 10:30 a.m. Friday in his ceremonial office. This marks a contrast from his secret signing of Senate Bills 1108 and 1110 three weeks ago, for which he was strongly criticized.
The governor's office bills the event as a “media availability” and promises that “Superintendent Luna, legislative sponsors, and supporting stakeholders” will attend. Since every major stakeholder group testified in opposition to S1184, it will be interesting to see who shows up.
