Did you know Idaho state law does not require employers to provide employees with lunch breaks? H432 would require all Idaho employers to give at least a 30-minute lunch break for employees who work more than 7 1/2 hours in a day. It was printed last month in the Idaho House Commerce and Human Resources Committee, but it has not yet received a public hearing.
If you think this is a common-sense proposal, please contact members of the House Commerce and Human Resources Committee and ask them to ask their Chair, Rep. Sharon Block (R-Twin Falls), to schedule the bill for a public hearing. You can write the entire committee via this link; select Commerce and Human Resources from the drop-down menu.
