In the Senate Education Committee this afternoon, the Idaho Education Association’s Bus Driver Immunity Bill was moved to the Amending Order on a unanimous vote. After raising a handful of questions in the original hearing weeks ago, the IEA made minor language adjustments to the bill that would protect bus drivers from criminal and civil liability if they were to intervene on a bus to protect a rider. The bill now waits in the Amending Order to be considered by the whole Senate pending the suggested amendment.
