Happy 130th Birthday IEA!

On March 23, 1892, Idaho educators gathered together in solidarity for the first meeting of the Idaho Education Association “to promote the educational interests of the state, and to ensure the future progress of the teachers’ work as a profession.”

In the 130 years since, members of the IEA – all of you – have remained united in their continued pursuit of those goals.

On Thursday, IEA’s 130th birthday, we talked with former IEA executive director Jim Shackleford, a former long-time IEA executive director of IEA (1992-2008) and patriarch of the modern IEA, about the milestone’s significance. CLICK HERE to see what he had to say.
