One essential bit of business conducted at IEA Delegate Assembly each year is the introduction, discussion and adoption of new IEA policy priorities called new business items or NBIs.
This year, delegates introduced no less than 30 NBIs — the highest number in recent memory.
“NBIs are where our members bring forward the most important issues facing public education today and have the opportunity to adopt measures addressing them,” said IEA President Layne McInelly.
