Grangeville and American Falls Educators Announce Plans to Run for State Superintendent

John Enyon of Grangeville has filed paperwork indicating his candidacy for the office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction in the Republican primary on May 20. Randy Jensen of American Falls has also announced his candidacy for the post on the Republican side.

The Senate Education Committee has agreed to print a proposal, initiated by the IEA and sponsored by Sen. John Goedde (R-CDA), shielding school bus drivers from civil or criminal liability in the event the driver comes to the aid of a rider who may be in danger.

House Education Committee Finishes Rules Review

Members of the House Education Committee spent the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday making final decisions on the more than one hundred pages of education rules from the State Board of Education and the State Department of Education.
