Education Support Professionals

Standing up for ESP

Our schools could not run without the work of dedicated Education Support Professionals. From classroom assistants to bus drivers, custodians to cafeteria workers, “ESP” are the people who keep Idaho’s public schools welcoming, safe, and caring places for children to learn and grow.

The Idaho Education Association has a strong and growing ESP program. From advocating for living wages and good benefits for all education employees to offering professional development and training opportunities for ESPs, the IEA and the National Education Association are your allies.

With affordable dues and countless benefits, now’s the time to join the IEA as an Education Support Professional. You stand up every day for Idaho’s students. Let us stand up for you! For more information on ESP membership in the IEA, contact ESP staff liaison John Whetzel or ESP Task Force Chair Patricia Borchers.

For more news and resources for ESP, see the NEA’s Education Support Professionals’ website. Watch this video to see just how important ESP are to our schools.
